Details

Spinners Welle is made up of two, connected holiday cottages creating a lovely detached countryside retreat surrounded by private gardens. The house is a combination of bright, modern and open plan living alongside the charming 300 year old thatched cottage, full of character and history. Perfect for gatherings of friends and family and with 2 kitchens and sitting rooms, you will have plenty of space to relax and enjoy the English countryside.
The property has a fascinating 300 year history including the origin of its name "Spinners Welle" and we have this story plus where to eat, visit and shop in the cottage folder.
Recently chosen as one of 4 finalists as Airbnb's Best Rural Stay) There are 6 or 7 beds spread over 4 bedrooms, as well as 3 bathrooms.
The property is very close to Kin House event venue so makes a perfect stop over for guests attending weddings and functions there.

The Parking - Private, off road parking in the gravel driveway off a private road, suitable for several cars.

The Garden - a really good size, the gardens wrap around the whole house, private and enclosed with garden furniture, two patio areas, charcoal and gas BBQs (in the summer) and loungers.

The Property - You enter the double patio doors straight into the main, bright, open plan sitting/kitchen/dining area. There is a good size extendable dining table (perfect for 8/9 guests) and fridge/freezer with cold water dispenser.

On the second floor, is the gorgeous, generous master suite - with dressing area and ensuite bathroom (with bath and shower attachment) and comfy super king size bed.
On the ground floor are two further bedrooms - one is a small double which can be made up with either a king size bed or two small singles (when made up with 2 beds, the singles are a little smaller than standard- so great for smaller adults/teens/children - when fixed together they make a King sized bed)
The other bedroom on the ground floor is a cosy bunk room with two full size single beds. Also on this floor is the family shower room.

Along the corridor and into the 300 year old thatched part of the property - with original oak beams and packed full of history and character. There is a second newly fitted galley kitchen, a comfortable, cosy sitting room with historic fireplace with a stunning wood effect "Rais" gas fire.
Upstairs, in the eaves under the thatch is another romantic bedroom with king size bed and third bathroom - with shower (not en suite but just outside the bedroom)
There is also a comfortable double sofa bed (with memory foam mattress topper) in the dining area of the cottage. Please let me know in advance if you would like this bed set up to make a fifth bedroom.
All rooms have views onto the private sunny gardens and fields surrounding this detached property.

The Facilities - all linen and towels are provided - as well as plenty of useful essentials such as soap, tea, coffee and sugar. To ensure you are lovely and snug on those colder nights, there are two remote control wood effect Rais gas fires, as well as a 50" Smart HD TVs and for coffee lovers, two Nespresso coffee machines. There is also a DAB/Bluetooth radio and fast Wifi.
A dish washer and washing machine are also provided.

Reviews

Elizabeth, February 2024. Spinners Welle is a beautiful cottage. It’s very picturesque, spacious and comfortable. It’s also very well equipped and in a great location. It was the perfect place for my family to celebrate my husband’s big birthday. Clare was a great host - we couldn’t have asked for better!

Erin, January 2024. We had a really lovely stay here. There were seven of us (age range 38 - 83) and the choice of bedrooms and bathrooms were great. Two living spaces and a snug meant that we had plenty of room to spread out.
It’s lovely and quiet at night and some really lovely pubs and places to visit locally. There are a few supermarkets just a short car ride also away which was great.
